Default Your Top 5 Albums Of All Time

One rule on this list, you can only put one album per band on the list, because otherwise most lists on here would just be full of Floyd. LOL

Let's see

1. Animals - Pink Floyd
2. The Who's Next - The Who
3. Abbey Road - The Beatles
4. Tales From Topographic Oceans - Yes
5. Amused To Death - Roger Waters

Now,

Mein Gott!

Good rule. I was thinking everyone's would all probably be Floyd, especially on this site.

Here are five great albums, not necessarily my top five, although some definitely are top five, in no particular order:

Animals - Pink Floyd
The White Album - The Beatles
Quadrophenia - The Who
Tales From Topographic Oceans - YES
2112 - Rush
All Things Must Pass - George Harrison

Ok ok, so I listed six...

in no particular order
wish you were here - pink floyd
grace - jff buckley
are you experience? - jimi hendrix experience
hell awaits - slayer
walk among us - misfits

top 5 is really limiting though...going further could add some john zorn, john coltrane, polyphonic spree, napalm death, black sabbath, and on and on

Also some albums left off that are fantastic.

The Tangent - The World That We Drive Through = Probably the greatest Prog album in the last 15 years.

King Crimson - Red

The Flower Kings - Unfold The Future

U2 Achtung Baby

Depeche Mode - Violator

Porcupine Tree - In Absentia

Kansas - Left Overture

Well this is sure a thread that could go on and on just about forever:

YES - Close To The Edge
John Lennon - Shaved Fish
Boston - Boston
Queen - A Night At The Opera
Monty Python's Contractual Obligation

Oh wait, that last one doesn't belong on this list...
