Default Saucerful Mono-Letdown?

I was recently able to obtain a Mono copy of A Saucerful Of Secrets, being a big Mono fan and especially after hearing Piper in Mono, I thought ASOS would be grand too. But I was wrong, particularly on the title track. It was much more muddy and quite, all the Stereo tape sounds and etc, were missing. Corporal Clegg also lost alot of its "oomph" too. Not that it was terrible, I just felt kinda let down after Piper in Mono. Has anyone else heard it, what was your feeling on it?

Yeah ASOS is kind of flat in mono, but I suppose that is to be expected. It's an interesting listen in a historical sense though.

Although on a brighter note "Jugband Blues" I think had a bit more..."impact" perhaps is the word. It felt a bit more upfront, and right before you, somewhat different than the Stereo side by side feel. I think Mono might do Jugband Blues more justice.
