Default PULSE, what do you think?

Hey,

just wondering what people generally though about PULSE, both the Video and the Compilation, as well as the many boots from that era of Pink Floyd.

Cheers

I really like the live concert video.. very good. My favorite song on the album/video is Comfortably Numb.. an awesome solo by Dave!

Ive heard several RoIOs from this tour and I reckon they are great!!

I'm definatly going to get PULSE on dvd when it comes out, it should be great.

I dont think I'd ever buy the compilation though, the RoIOs i have a probably just as good!

Anyone have any particular recommendation of decent quality Division Bell-era RoIO's?

Hey,

the compilation is WAYYYYY better than any bootleg, trust me. The best bootleg would probably be, for me, either Nights Of Wonder or Miami 1994. There are probably others that are real good high quality. Also for a laugh, get someone to upload P3, the 3rd pulse disc (a bootleg). It is so funny, it has some full songs, but also some fuck up songs where shit goes wrong :P. Classic.

Cheers

Yep. If someone could upload that P3 that'd be cool.

I love the "Pulse" CD, but it was the tape that did it for me though, as I was stuck working in this dead-end hotel job at the time it first came out and had no CD player.

As long as I live I will never forget that feeling when I stumbled upon the intro-tape thingie on Side 4 for the very first time by complete accident. It was weeks after I'd bought the tape, didn't even know it was there until one night when I was panned out in bed after a heavy night on the mushies (we had to do something between shifts) and it came on. (usually I stopped the tape as the crowd faded out). Holy shit, it was a mixture of chills and thrills. Didn't know where these noises were coming from. It scared the be-Jesus out of me. Er, I suppose you had to be there, or something...

I like the video too, well, my version of it anyway which was taped from the BBC when they showed one of the Earls Court shows live.

I can't wait for the re-release of "Pulse". Anyone have indication of what's going to be on its third disc? Or will it be a 2CD/1DVD combo?

A friend of mine recorded the Earls Court show that PULSE is taken from. He recorded it on SVHS from the BBC transmission and never played the tape again........until we got together and put together a double DVD with..... Earls Court, DSOTM EPK, PF Live at Knebworth and a 90 Minute Horizon Pink Floyd documentary together...

This will keep me going until PULSE is officially released..... :P

I was at earls court that night and when I had bad seats so I wanted some video bad and lo and behold I got it. Its pretty amazing and I really like how it was shot. Its the one recording that I actually liked better than being at the show
