How do i record on a cdr? do i need to convert to mp3?

no, conversion to mp3 should never be necessary. i have only the basic version of roxio which came with windows and that can burn flac to cd

Most burning programs will burn FLAC to CD. However, I have found many burning programs that won't burn SHN to CD.

You can use Traders Little Helper to SHN's into WAV or FLAC and then burn to CD.

FLACS are superior to SHN's in everyway. I don't really know why SHN is used so much.


Converting FLACs to MP3 and then burning them will get you bad karma for life. It's a well known fact.

I use "Burrrn" to put all kinds of music format on CD: mp3, flac, shn... Small and fast program. Freeware.
