Piper 40th Anniversary re-issue

Out September 3rd in the UK, but having a quick look at the tracklisting, it seems to me that EMI have missed an opportunity here.

Yes, it's a 3 disc boxset. Yes, we get the album in stereo and mono. Where it goes wrong is the third disc, the so-called rarities. All we get is a version of Interstellar Overdrive that was previously only available on an EP in France, and the true stereo version of Apples And Oranges. No Vegetable Man, Scream Thy Last Scream, Lucy Leaves or King Bee!

One to pick up when it is sold off cheap, I think.

It is worth getting, I think. I heard that the mono disk was the one that Piper Originally sounded like when it was first released. The one I got only had 2 disks in it, which excluded the 3rd one. and that made me really angry.

I got a 4 disc edition from a guy in Wyoming about 2 weeks ago. Each disc is the same songs. Fist disc is mono. 2nd disc is Stereo, 3rd disc is rematerd. And 4th disc is origanal source tapes.
