Hi everyone. I've been a huge Floyd fan for most of my life. I love every album, every song, every note. I'd seriously give ten years off the end of my life to be able to play bass alongside Gilmour for just one evening.
I love every era of Floyd, from the incredible jam that is Interstellar Overdrive and the rather whimsical lyrics of Piper At The Gates Of Dawn, through Meddle and that timeless classic, Echoes, and of course DSOTM and WYWH, all the way through Momentary Lapse and Division Bell, and everything in between. I love it all. It has always been the music that I have felt most deeply in my soul. There is other music I like, most assuredly, but if I were to do the desert island thing and could only take the music of one group with me, it would be Floyd, hands down.
I currently live in Texas (in a deep, dark hole, or cavern, where it's nice and cool), although I suppose I don't really fit the mold of the average Texan as I'm more of a counter-culture type. If it were up to me, some aspects of the sixties would have lasted for at least a century, and preferably longer. On a somewhat related note, I'm considering moving to Europe sometime later this year (this is still in the planning stage).
I'm into computers as an on again, off again hobby, as I suppose a lot of people are these days. I also collect old vinyl, especially old Floyd bootlegs. I love bass guitar, and redheads of the female persuasion. I also enjoy writing, although sometimes what comes out isn't exactly completely coherent if a person isn't in the right frame of mind. Oh, and I always brake for hallucinations.
I very much enjoy being a moderator here on PFWS as this gives me the opportunity to meet and talk with Floyd fans from all around the world. I also like being able to upload roios to this site as I've always believed these recordings should be free for all to share and enjoy. Of course, you don't have to be a moderator to upload music here, but since this is in essence a primer about me, I figured I'd mention it anyway so there it is.
Any questions? If so, you can send me a PM or an email and I'll be happy to answer as I always enjoy talking, and with as many people as possible. Or you can just check out my customized profile, which should give you a pretty good idea of my personality. Maybe more than you actually want to know. LOL
Shine on, Floydians. Remember to stay green (and pink, of course).

LOL... That's an old wives tale, my friend. You've been watching too many old 'B' horror flicks. Doesn't work in real life. I love garlic. Italian food doesn't taste the same without it. Neither does chili, nor many other foods. I can even eat the cloves by themselves... mmmm, good stuff.

Are all vampires counter culture?
What are the odds of a message board having two primarily counter-culture texans on it? LOL

There's a mix of counter-culture and old school hardliners pretty much like there is in any group.
As for the board, just lucky I guess. Counter-culture types are a vanishing breed in Tejas.

LOL... I told ya man, you gotta quit getting your info from old horror flicks. That stuff is pure Hollywood. Christopher Lee crumbling to dust and all that when the shades are pulled back. LOL And the silver thing is werewolves anyway, if I remember correctly. Silver bullet and such. Great fun, those movies, but mostly comedy rather than practical information.

Ok, for those of you who have requested it, here is a larger picture of my car.
You can find out more about this marvel of modern technology in the "Mein Transport" section of my customized profile.
Apparently those pages are no longer readily available since the upgrade, which is rather a pity as they were fun.

Nice ride, I would think exhaust fumes could be a problem, not to mention emitions.

Thanks. Probably my all time favorite car. I don't know anyone else who has one exactly like it.
The exhaust usually isn't much of a problem unless she's fueled up with fried food. I keep a pine-scented air freshener inside at all times just as a precaution though.
There's enough distance between the engine and the passenger compartment to allow the emitions to fall pretty much straight to the ground. Gravity is generally stronger than momentum in these cases as I usually don't drive over about five miles an hour in order to avoid accidents of this type.
