how to get your 'PULSE' light working again

For the past couple of years, my 'Pulse' box sat in the corner like a broken man, it's flashing/blinking light seemingly extinguished forever. But help was at hand and I stumbled upon this link:

Well if we were in the 1800's it would definitely be a miracle, but in the 21st century.. batteries aren't that amazing anymore.. haha

What PULSE box? I have an audio CD in a special package box, with booklet inside as well, do you mean that?
