Hi, I'm grantchestermeadows (my favorite song, second one is Summer68), I'm kind of new in here, and I would like to share some things that make me believe that music is the soundtrack of life.
When I was a child, my father would always go to a small city here in Brazil called Morretes. To go to this beautiful place we would always take one road that passes through the Braziliam Atlantic Forest. Then, he used to say, hear this music and look outside the landscape. It was Pink Floyds masterpiece The Dark Side of the Moon. That's how I got into Pink Floyd sounds. I always remember those times, almost every trip.
Them I grew up a little bit and met one friend that liked music like me. We had 19 years and we wanted to have new experiences. So, we would listen to Pink Floyd all the nights while smoking and drinking wine. That's how I passed some of my youth.
One of these days (heheh that is how music can change our life, even our vocabulary), I was home with my girlfriend and I felt something I never felt before. We stayed all the night listening to The Dark Side of the Moon while we were kissing and hugging. (We actually had love without sex) O.o, just try it sometime. But what is really beautiful is that every time I listen to that CD I get the feeling that she is hugging me. Besides the fact that I remember my childhood. =D
Well I don't really think music is just an activity to pass the time. I think it is completely attached to our lives. What you listen may change your life in ways you would never predict. Music is more than fun, it is really the soundtrack of your life.
Go Floyd!
