A friend had a Wall T Shirt.. and I thought "What on earth is that on his shirt?" With the marching hammers...so he taught me about the Floyd and I became interested. I was a major Beatle nut so after reading they had worked at Abbey Road I knew they must have talent. I heard some Wall songs and DSOFTM stuff from the radio by now. So being very much a "Anything from 67 I will love" kinda person...I hunted down Piper and was knocked out at their innovative style. And it just spread from there. I am still very much a solo Syd Barrett fan and of course anything Psychedelic is very me. At times they shine brighter than The Beatles for me...The Moody Blues being my 3rd fav and The Beach Boys at a tight 4th or at least my fav American group behind The Grateful Dead. Songs like "Julia Dream" and "Cirrus Minor", "Jugband Blues" and "Any Colour You Like" are very me. I love the lofty dreamy psychedelic sound of a hazy summer day. Also had some illegal experiences to DSOTHM as well. Echoing Farfisa to spooky Mellotrons...thats just wonderful...

My dad absolutely loves Pink Floyd, and he would always sing/hum their songs whenever he would just be sitting around. I asked him what he was singing one day and he got so excited because I asked him to show me some of their music. Ever since then I've loved their music.

I heard alot of Roger Waters solo material when it came out and after a few months someone told me he was from Pink Floyd and I then started listening to them. I was like six years old

I heard a couple songs from Wish You Were Here on this classic rock station about five years ago and I really loved the music and I started listening to more and the rest is history.
