Default Dave Gilmour at the Strat Pack 2004...

I've heard this recently...

Dave seems to be old, but his performance is still really good, for the guitar and for the voice : I was impressed.

What do you think about it?

Are ya talking about the commercial release (don't have it with me to look at the cover)? I for one really enjoyed the dvd of Gilmore that I picked up at a video store here in the U.S.
I guess in general: we get older, add on a few puonds and generally looked better in younger days but some fortunate ones get more refined like a fine wine - David is one of those people. Gilmore, Page and Clapton are amoung my favorite guitarists and have refined thier styles and kept playing for us over all these years! We live in wonderful times musically.
Well that's my thoughts. Hope I didn't bore ya ops:

Sometimes I think I live under a rock .....
Thanks for the information, you jogged my memory on reading about this concert early last year. I wish I could just hop on board a flight to see these events but I'll just have to be satisfied to read about them through someone elses account.
I downloaded the mp3's to listen to while I work.

Default Live 8

On terms of Gilmour more recently, though my dad disagrees, I feel he was playing pretty well at the Floyd's performance at Live 8. He got kind of shaky on the end of Money, but other than that all was fine in my opinion.

Dave is still a God, as far as I am concerned.
Just check out any of his 2006 ROIOs
Several are listed in my thread.

I think he'll only get better, just think. Back then in the seventies he didn't know how to play as much instruments as he does now, like the Saxaphone or Cumbus. I can imagine David being seventy-five and still playing like he was thirty.

Gilmour at his worst is better than anyone else at their best, imo. And he only gets better with age. The man could play a friggin' kazoo and still move mountains.

Or a didgeridoo, or even a tap dancin' solo.
