Cool 1st pink floyd roio experience

the announcement on the radio said "record and cd convention this weekend...rare and out of print stuff. you might even find some bootlegs..."well, i was excited by that, because the closest i had to finding any of those were in the tiny printed ads in goldmine magazine.
my introduction into bootlegs began sometime in the mid 80's when i purchased "pink floyd: a visual history" by miles. anyone who has a 1st edition of this knows there is a bootleg discography in the back, and i had tried to track down some of these, but (and this was years before the internet) no luck. then, years later, i went to the above mentioned convention, and WOW!!! i couldn't believe all the cool shit i found. my 1st roio i ever got was "behind the wall" from nassau coliseum in new york, on the stonehenge label, and i thought it was the coolest cd set ever!
that was the beginning of a very expensive habit. i have collected some 60 + cd's over the years, and with downloading more available than ever, i am on my way to getting all the good shows that have been recorded. god bless the 'net!

My first experience was on good old vinyl. I still got the record called "Pink Floyd - Green is the Color..." i'm sure a lot of you know it. And this was many, many years ago. Thinking of it... i'm getting old...

I'm also on good old vinyl, maybe because I'm older
My first Floyd Bootleg was a tape that I got from my cousin that he recorded it live, and a few moths later in a 3LP set: "PINK FLOYD CRACKERS" (the 1972 Hollywood Bowl Concert). It sounds bad and it has the labels on the records mixed (side 1 is realy side 3, and so on). I still have it in my huge music collection (more than 18.000 pieces counting LP's and CD's)

Bought a tape on a fleamarket: British Winter Tour (1974) and was impreesed about the very different versions of Shine On, Raving And Drooling (Sheep) and Gotta Be crazy (Dogs). Sound was tinny and very low. Still got it.
First LP some years later: the mislabed "FILLMORE WEST" (1970) aka KQED 04-29-1970 (Swingin' Pig records).
Great very different versions of CYMBALINE and ATOM HEART MOTHER (without choir and brass) that I loved. Still one of my favourites.
